Negotiations

'The art of getting everyone going in the same direction, even with differing aims or intentions'
Negotiations are inherently a part of every step in the lifecycle of a program, not just in final face to face contractual negotiations.
I have led some of the largest programs and negotiations in the marketplace. The largest had a yearly contract value of $450M.
In executing that specific program we had to overcome a significant disruption in the IT services industry due to a downturn in the telecom industry, a government investigation of the leading bidder and significant opposition internally.
In the end the customer saved $3B over ten years and the contract significantly increased the stock value of the vendor.
This was a great example of a win-win for all involved.
